About Sigsbee Homes

The Sigsbee’s have two children, Riley Mae, 5, and Shepard, 3.

Shane and Rachael Sigsbee transform dated costal properties into charming vacation rentals on the Alabama Gulf Coast. With the help of their construction team, they completely reimagine distressed properties to fit the expectations of guests who are in search of a space to relax and unwind while vacationing on the coast.

The Sigsbee’s started their rehab and rental business Sigsbee Homes in 2017 by investing in single family homes in South Mobile County, where Rachael was born and raised. (They currently reside in Las Vegas.) Once they built their portfolio of long-term leases, they moved their sights to vacation rentals in the neighboring beach town of Dauphin Island, where the husband and wife duo have spent many summers vacationing.

They bought their first fixer upper on Dauphin Island in 2018, a four-unit condominium building that had not been renovated since Hurricane Katrina hit the coast in 2007. The entire building, which had suffered severe flood and wind damage, was gutted and rebuilt, and now serves as the Sigsbee’s biggest income property to date.

Because of the success of that first vacation rental, they began investing more time and money into Dauphin Island and now have eight properties and counting on the island. They also have additional vacation rentals in the small farming town of Grand Bay in South Alabama and more recently have expanded their business into buying and rehabbing vacation rentals in Foley, which is the gateway to Alabama’s most famous beach towns to the east. In total, the Sigsbee’s own 17 vacation rentals and 20 long-term leases that span the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Shane combines his financial expertise with Rachael’s creativity and design know-how to create properties that appeal to the entire spectrum of renters in the real estate market.
